Jane Paterson
RIBA ARIAS M.Arch B.Arch(Hons)
Jane studied at Glasgow’s
Mackintosh School of Architecture, where she graduated with honours and a
masters degree, completing her RIBA professional examinations in 1991.
She worked for Page /
Park Architects in Glasgow for 5 years and was Project Architect for the first
two residential developments by New Gorbals Housing Association.
She spent 6 years working
for CZWG Architects in London, where her experience ranged from design and
project supervision of residential schemes, to competitions, commercial and
masterplanning projects.
She has taught design &
professional practice part-time at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in
Glasgow, the Bartlett School of Architecture in London and Edinburgh University.
She has been a Part 3
Examiner for both the Bartlett in London and APEAS in Scotland.
Since 2009 Jane has been
on the Judging Panel of the Saltire Society Housing Design Awards, and was
recently made convenor elect of the judging panel.
In 2004, Jane returned to Scotland
and established Paterson Architects, where she is Partner in charge of all
projects and contract administration. Her personal involvement in the day to day
running of all work has ensured Paterson Architects growing reputation as one of
Scotland’s leading practices.
