Jane Paterson Summary

In 2004 Nick Paterson & I established Paterson Architects in East Lothian. We have worked throughout Scotland and are known for our award winning residential work. A series of prestigious awards has helped to establish us as one of Scotland’s leading small practices.

My background is working for larger practices, however, we are keen for Paterson Architects to remain small so our clients can benefit from the attention and wisdom of a partner at all times. Nick & I qualified as architects in 1991 and have garnered a depth of professional experience, which we drawn upon in everyday practice.

In addition to running my own practice, I have been involved in part time teaching since 1993. I teach design and professional studies at Edinburgh University, a role I have undertaken since 2004. In 2017 I also became a Senior Teaching Fellow in Professional Practice in Architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture.
