Feasibilty Studies

 

Feasibility studies are preliminary studies undertaken in the early stage of a project to establish whether a project or proposal is viable and help identify an approach or potential solution to the clients brief, so that an economical and informed decision on proceeding to the next stage can be made.

 

A feasibilty study might include the following anaylsis:

 

An assesment of any proposal in terms of local and national planning policies.

Other legal/statutory approvals.

Analysis of the budget relative to client requirements.

Assessment of the potential to re-use existing property.

Assessment of any site information provided by the client.

Site appraisals, availability of services, uses of adjoining land, environmental impact and so on.

Site access.

Analysis of accommodation that might be included or excluded

Servicing strategies.

Programme considerations.

Procurement options.
