Two unique and site-responsive contemporary designs with a simple palette of materials, form, and proportion.

Accessed from the east behind an existing stable block. The site is laid out east/west parallel to the gradient of the Glen, with the new houses set out parallel and perpendicular to a new retaining wall.

 

Both homes are designed so that views and connections to the Gore Glen become apparent as you move from the entrance hall into the public spaces. First-floor bedrooms and other private accommodation take advantage of the morning and evening sun during the summer, and enjoy long views of the Glen.
