Located within the Haddington Conservation Area, East Lothian, this project proposes a simple single-storey wrap-around extension providing generous new kitchen and dining space with direct access to the garden. Two existing sash-and-case windows are carefully reused, with dressed stone and rubble retained and incorporated into the new extension. New stonework complements the existing masonry in colour, texture and coursing. A distinctive copper-clad fascia provides a contemporary contrast to the traditional stonework, framing views to the garden and bringing natural light deep into the extended living space.
